Dwayne Bacon soared as Monaco defeated Pau-Lacq-Orthez 79-72 to take a 2-0 lead in the French league semifinals Saturday.
Bacon led all scorers of the game with 20 points and 5 rebounds and also produced the highlight of the evening with this one-handed slam.

Mike James and Alpha Diallo each added 13 points for Monaco and Yakuba Ouattara scored 10 points on two-of-three from behind the arc.
Gregor Hrovat and Justin Bibbins tapped 19 points apiece for the visitors and Giovan Oniangue followed with 12 points.
Monaco built a 46-35 lead at halftime and managed to expand it through a solid defensive plan in the third quarter, allowing their visitors to only score 12 points. Despite a 25-point outbreak from Orthez in the last quarter, they weren’t able to tie the series in the end.
Game 3 of the semifinals is scheduled for June 7, 21:30 local time.
