Nando De Colo registers personal scoring record in France

By Eurohoops team/ info@eurohoops.net

Nando De Colo scored a French League career-high 34 points in a game of ASVEL Villeurbanne against Roanne but his performance wasn’t combined with a win. Ronald March produced 33 points and Roanne defeated the reigning champions 89 – 83.

This was De Colo’s fourth-best scoring performance ever in domestic competition. The former EuroLeague champion and MVP surpassed his previous record in the French League which was 29 points he scored with Cholet in an 89 – 80 victory over Le Mans in 2008. He left France the next year and just returned this season after a career trip that took him from Spain, to the NBA, to EuroLeague stardom with CSKA Moscow, to Fenerbahce and then back home.

While ASVEL fell to 3-3 with this result, AS Monaco extended its winning streak to 6-0. Behind 18 points plus nine assists by Jordan Loyd, the Monegasque side survived JL Bourg en Bresse 98 – 94 to extend its record to 6-0 and remain the only undefeated team in the league. It was also a good week for Victor Wembanyama who produced a 17-7-6 stat line on a road win.
