Demanding Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games take its toll. Similar to Lithuania where Rytas defeated Zalgiris, another team of the top-tier club continental competition fell in France’s Betclic Elite LNB Pro A Regular Season Round 8 as JDA Dijon (6-2) crushed AS Monaco, 95-84.
The home side had a tough game against Crvena Zvezda mts Friday. Surviving the big battle, coach Sasa Obradovic‘s side held on for a victory in the EuroLeague, but there was limited gas left in the tank against Dijon and an incredible offensive game including 28 points scored in the fourth quarter for a big domestic win.
Markis McDuffie played a game to remember. He scored 27 points and added nine rebounds and three assists.
He even outscored Mike James who had 20 points and 10 assists.
In contrast, LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne (5-3) did not have problems versus Fos-sur-Mer (2-5). Riding on a big first quarter (29-16), the home side cruised to a 94-65 victory.
Parker Jackson-Cartwright led the way with 19 points and Youssoupha Fall added 14 points.
JL Bourg continues to play good basketball. Another win, this time it was an easy game against Strasbourg 74-69. James Palmer led the way with 26 points.
