Projected No. 1 draft pick Victor Wembanyama scored 30 points, grabbed 15 rebounds and blocked the ball three times as Boulogne-Levallois beat Nancy 92 – 78 on the road in a French League game.
This was Wembanyama’s third 30+ game in November after he scored a career-high 33 in a victory over Limoges and 30 against Nanterre, the club he grew up and made his first professional footsteps with. The 18-year-old French big man shot 9-19 from the field, including 1-4 triples, and hit 11-16 free throws.
Wembanyama finished this month with some phenomenal averages: 27.0 points, 9.8 rebounds and 2.6 blocks over games in both the domestic Betclic Elite and the 2023 World Cup Qualifiers where he debuted with the senior French national team. He’s currently the leading scorer (23.2 points), rebounder (9.6) and blocker (3.0) in the French championship while his team sits at the top spot in the standings with an 8-1 record.
