Even though they started the season in EuroLeague with two defeats to Valencia and Virtus Bologna, Monaco remains unbeaten after seven rounds in the French Betclic Elite, having defeated JL Bourg 78-67 at home.
Mike James led Sasa Obradovic‘s side with 17 points, while Elie Okobo added 12, and Petr Corneli scored 10 with five rebounds. Kemba Walker and Jordan Loyd are still sidelined.
The only player in Bourg to reach double figures was Isaiah Mike, who scored 12 points. Bryce Brown added nine points, while Godwin Omeneka was on the verge of a double-double with eight points and boards.
Monaco will now face Crvena Zvezda in Belgrade in Round 3 of the EuroLeague, with the match scheduled for October 18th.

Another loss for ASVEL
It seems that LDLC ASVEL is in real trouble. T.J. Parker’s side opened the season with three straight wins, but lost five out of last six matches, including an 85-81 defeat to Nanterre in Round 7 of Betclic Elite.
Villeurbanne side entered tha last period with a 64-60 lead, but the hosts turned things around with a 11-0 run and eventually won the game.
Justin Bibbins and Benjamin Sene had a blast, leading the hosts to a big win with 27 points apiece. Ibrahima Fall Faye follwed the duo with 10 points and eight rebounds.
For ASVEL, Paris Lee had 19 points and six assists, Youssoupha Fall finished with a double-double of 16 points and 12 boards, Mike Scott added 12 points, and Timothe Luwawu Cabarrot 10 points.
Monaco is at the top of the standings with 7-0 score, while ASVEL fell to eight with 4-3.
