With five players scoring in double figures, AS Monaco beat ASVEL Villeurbanne 89 – 71 in a postponed game for Round 18 of the French League to bounce back to wins after just their second loss in the championship a few days ago.
Mike James led Monaco’s scorers with 17 points while dishing out five assists Elie Okobo provided 14 points plus seven assists, Matthew Strazel dropped 11 points while Jaron Blossongame and Alpha Diallo scored 10 apiece as their team improved to a league-best 20-2.
Paris Lee stood out from ASVEL, now 16-6, with 12 points and six assists. Edwin Jackson had 11 points and Mike Scott finished with 10 points.
Monaco will be traveling to Bologna to face Virtus Friday (6/2). ASVEL is playing at Baskonia the day before.
