Monaco defeated Metropolitans 92 to improve their leading position in the French Betlic ELITE, securing their 21st win in Round 23.
This time, Sasa Obradovic’s side triumphed over the last-placed Metropolitans 92 with a final score of 84-72, with Matthew Strazel leading the way.
The talented French guard finished the match with 24 points, shooting 9/12 from the field, while Petr Cornelie followed with 17 points and seven boards.
Jordan Loyd added 11 points in 15 minutes, while Yakuba Ouattara scored 10 with five boards. Elie Okobo contributed seven points and dished out nine assists.
For the losing side, Lahaou Konate had 16 points, Tim Frazier scored 12, Fabian White 11, and Axel Toupane added 10.
ASVEL returns to winning form
While Monaco continues to dominate, LDLC ASVEL has faced struggles in the French championship this season. However, brighter days seem to be ahead for the Villeurbanne team after a convincing 84-61 win over JL Bourg at home.
Mike Scott led the charge, finishing the match with 11 points and rebounds, while Youssoupha Fall achieved a double-double with 10 points and 13 boards. Edwin Jackson contributed 11 points, and Naom Yaacob and Timothe Luwawu Cabarrot added 10 points each.
Only two players reached double figures for Bourg, with JeQuan Lewis and Zaccharie Risacher scoring 12 points apiece.
