Times can’t get better for ASVEL, as the EuroLeague side found the umpteenth tough loss of the 2023-24 tumultuous season, getting eliminated in the Quarter-Finals of the Leaders Cup by Nanterre 92.
The green side pulled the upset 82-78 victory, especially thanks to Ibrahima Fall Faye, who had 24 points and 6 rebounds for his team, followed by Desi Rodriguez’s 14 points and 7 rebounds. Justin Bibbins scored 17 points.
For ASVEL, 14 points from Joffrey Lauvergne weren’t enough. Nando De Colo tried his best to control the tempo for the French powerhouse and ended with 13 points, 4 rebounds, and 8 assists. However, Nanterre still managed to advance, producing a 15-0 scoring run to start the second half.
