After losing to Chalon/Saone in overtime during Round 25 of the French Betclic Elite, LDLC ASVEL again went to an additional five minutes, but thanks to Paris Lee, they prevailed this time.
The US guard hit the game-winning shot in the last second of overtime to hand the Villeurbanne team an 86-83 win over Gravelines-Dunkerque in Round 26 of the French championship.
He finished the match with 21 points and five assists, while Mike Scott led the scoring charts with 23 points and seven rebounds. The only other ASVEL player in double digits was Timothe Luwawu Cabarrot, who finished the match with 10 points.
Michael Stockton scored 18 points for the losing side, Chris Babb added 13, Johnny Berhanemeskel scored 12, and Tajuan Agee scored 10.
Alpha Diallo leads Monaco past Strasbourg
After ASVEL, Monaco also secured a fifth straight win in the domestic championship by defeating SIG Strasbourg at home 92-78.
Alpha Diallo stood out with 21 points for the winning side, while four more players finished in double digits: Yakuba Outtara scored 14, Jordan Loyd 13, Matthew Strazel 12, and Mam Jaiteh 10 points.
For Strasbourg, Tyrus McGee had 14 points, Boris Dallo was on the verge of a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds, while Quinton Hooker scored 12, Nysier Brooks 11, and Leopold Cavaliere 10 points with nine boards.
