Monaco is through to the French semifinals, taking down Le Portel 2-0 in the playoff series

Monaco lost their place in the EuroLeague Final Four in the last seconds of Game 5 against Fenerbahce, but they quickly switched focus to the Betclic Elite Playoffs.

Sasa Obradovic‘s team is already through to the semifinals after taking down Le Portel 70-101 in Game 2 on the road.

Jordan Loyd led the Roca Team to a 2-0 win in the quarterfinal series with 32 points, shooting 11/16 from the field and 6/9 from beyond the arc. Elie Okobo followed with 16 points, Matthew Strazel added 13, and Jaron Blossomgame 12, while EuroLeague MVP Mike James was out of the team.

Digue Diawara scored 15 points on the losing side, Bastien Vautier 14, and David DiLeo 10.

Monaco will face JL Bourg or Nanterre in the next round. Nanterre tied the quarterfinal series with a 90-84 home win.

There will be a Game 3 as well in the Paris – Cholet series, with the BKT EuroCup winners tying the series with a 72-90 road win, while ASVEL qualified with 2-0 wins against Saint Quentin for the semifinals.
