By Eurohoops team/ info@eurohoops.net

Nadir Hifi scored 24 points on 5-7 threes, including the dagger, as Paris Basketball beat AS Monaco 77 – 70 on the road in Game 2 of the French League Finals to tie the series 1-1. The reigning EuroCup champions host the next two matches.

Hifi drained a very tough, off balance triple over Elie Okobo to make it 66 – 73 with 51 seconds remaining and then Tyson Ward pretty much secured the win of Paris with a layup. Monaco had tied the score at 62 after trailing 42 – 52 late in the third quarter but TJ Shorts, Ward and Hifi had consecutive baskets to push their team towards victory.

Shorts finished with 21 points (on 8 – 22 shots) and six rebounds. Ward had 11 points (5-16 from the field) while Justin Simon dropped 16 points for Paris.

Okobo (15 points) and Alpha Diallo (14 points) stood out from Monaco. The defending champs lacked the firepower of Game 1, especially from Mike James who had 10 points on 4 – 20 shots two days after scoring 31 to start the series.
