Monaco rallies on the road, ASVEL falls to Cholet

After trailing for most of the first half, AS Monaco built a double-digit advantage in the fourth quarter and beat BCM Gravelines-Dunkerque, 83-74, in Stade des Flandres on Sunday.

In his first game since the opening round of the 2024-25 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season, Furkan Korkmaz (thigh) put in eight points and three rebounds over 16 minutes.

Elie Okobo and Matthew Strazel shared a team-high 14 points in Round 7 of France’s Betclic Elite Regular Season. Mouhammadou Jaiteh posted a 10-point, 10-rebound double-double. Juhann Begarin, Nick Calathes, Petr Cornelie, Alpha Diallo, and Donatas Motiejunas were sidelined.

Cholet climbs to the top

In Astroballe, LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne lost, 101-87, to Cholet.

Theo Maledon recording a game-high 24 points with 6/6 two-pointers and 12/14 free throws was not enough for the hosts. Returning to action after two weeks, Joffrey Lauvergne (thigh) tallied nine points and nine rebounds in 19 minutes. Edwin Jackson (thigh) joined Paris Lee (ankle) on the injury list.

For Cholet, earning a narrow lead on top of the standings, Andre Roberson and Bastien Vautier ended up with 19 points apiece.

Wrapping up Round 7, Paris blew out SLUC Nancy, 115-97, in Adidas Arena. Nadir Hifi scored a game-high 22 points. Sebastian Herrera, Daulton Hommes (leg), Leon Kratzer, and Bandja Sy were out.
