Pulling away in the fourth quarter, AS Monaco beat JL Bourg, 109-94, in Ekinox on Sunday.

Collecting a win in Round 10 of France’s Betclic Elite Regular Season, the second in as many showings with Vassilis Spanoulis in charge, the La Roca Team went up to 6-3, two games behind LNB leader Cholet.

Six players scored in double-digits, including Alpha Diallo tallying a team-high 17 points plus seven rebounds and five assists. Jordan Loyd chipped in 16 points behind 6/7 from the field. Mike James complemented his 15 points with seven assists, while Elie Okobo went for seven points and a game-high ten assists. Nick Calathes, Mam Jaiteh, Furkan Korkmaz, and Georgios Papagiannis were unavailable.

The hosts fell to 6-4 despite 24-year-old Joel Ayayi ending up with a game-high 22 points alongside five assists, four rebounds, and two steals. Hugo Benitez combined 16 points with six assists.

Earlier in Rhenus Sport, fellow Turkish Airlines EuroLeague participant, LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne lost, 77-75, to SIG Strasbourg and was forced down to 7-3. Edwin Jackson and Charles Kahudi did not suit up for the team coached by Pierric Poupet.
