Monaco blows out Chalon, ASVEL prevails on the road

A 38-point swing from a ten-point hole lifted AS Monaco to a comfortable win, 109-82, versus Elan Chalon in Salle Gaston Medecin on Sunday night.

Alpha Diallo, Elie Okobo, and Giorgos Papagiannis were unavailable for head coach Vassilis Spanoulis in Round 14 of the Betclic Elite Regular Season. Among available players, Jordan Loyd stood out with a game-high 20 points. Matthew Strazel paired 19 points with ten assists, setting new personal bests in the 2024-25 campaign. Mike James and Vitto Brown added 17 and 15 points, respectively. La Roca Team, back-to-back champion in France, improved to 9-4, half a game behind fellow Turkish Airlines EuroLeague outfit Paris and 1.5 games from co-leaders Cholet and LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne.

In Salle Gaston Neveur, ASVEL held on down the stretch to defeat La Rochelle, 79-75 and reached the top of the standings. Experienced point guard Paris Lee combined a game-high 20 points with four assists and three rebounds. Andre Roberson chipped in 13 points and Neal Sako posted a 10-point, 11-rebound double-double. Tarik Black, Charles Kahudi, and Mbaye Ndiaye remained out for the team coached by Pierric Poupet.
