French ProA leader Monaco announced today the expected addition of the American point guard DJ Cooper. The 25 years old player left Athens and AEK, which he joined after starting in Russia with Krasny Oktyabr.
Cooper replaced DeMarcus Nelson who started the season in France but left in December for Unicaja Malaga. Cooper and Nelson have been teammates last year in the Greek league playoffs, wearing the jersey of Panathinaikos. Despite averaging with Krasny Oktyabr 10,1 assists in Eurocup, AEK decided to release him.
