Both EuroLeague’s French teams prevailed in their domestic league this week

After the conclusion of the 2024-25 EuroLeague regular season, AS Monaco and Paris Basketball returned to the French League with victories.

Mike James led a balanced offensive effort for Monaco that beat Saint-Quentin 86 – 72 at home to remain first in the standings.

Alpha Diallo and Jordan Loyd added 15 points apiece for Vassilis Spanoulis’ team. Jerome Robinson led Saint Quentin, now 12-13.

TJ Shorts had 21 points and nine assists to push Paris past JL Bourg en Bresse 98 – 91 after a comeback from down 80 – 70 early in the third quarter.

La Roca Team and Paris improved to 19-5 and 19-6, respectively, one day before LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne went up to 19-6 in France’s Betclic Elite Regular Season.

Wrapping up Round 25 of the LNB on Sunday, the team coached by Pierric Poupet squandered a double-digit lead in the fourth quarter but defeated ESSM Le Portel, 77-74, in Le Chaudron.

Theo Maledon put in 15 points and Andre Roberson produced a 13-point, 10-rebound double-double alongside four assists. Promising upstart Melvin Ajinca added 13 more points. Ben Bentil, Edwin Jackson, Charles Kahudi, Joffrey Lauvergne, and Mbaye Ndiaye remained sidelined.
