By grabbing a stunning road victory against Strasbourg, Le Mans did not only help itself since it climbed to the third place of the standings in the French Pro A, but also benefited first Monaco.
Initially the Monegasques (21-7) had a bit of a problem against much weaker Le Havre (1-27), falling behind with seven points at the end of the first quarter. But, the qualitative difference between the two teams is more than obvious, and the Cup holders used it in order to win comfortably in the end. Monaco doesn’t only remain first but it has increased its distance from second Strasbourg.
Le Mans (19-9) played a great game away from home, to accomplish one of its biggest wins in the season against Strasbourg (19-8). Vincent Collet’s players shot horribly, especially from behind the arc (6/28) in contrast with their opponents (8/20) while losing the battle of the rebounds (22 vs 36).
