Pape Badiane, former member of the French national team and champion of the French league in 2007 with Roanne died in a car accident at the age of 36 years today.
He was currently playing in the third French division, after a career that included stops in the NCAA with Cleveland State (200-2003) and a return to France for Roanne. He was a member of the French national team in Eurobasket 2007 and he also played in Euroleague as a member of Roanne (photo).
He has also won the French Cup in 2009, the “week of the aces” in 2007 and 2009 and he was selected three times in the French All Star Game (2006, 2007, 2009).
