One week after winning the Leaders Cup for second season in a row, Monaco (18-2) further established its hold of the first place in the French League standings by downing Le Mans.
The Monegasques were trailing at halftime but took the lead at the end of the third period and scored 28 points in the fourth to improve their record at 18 – 2.
Le Mans (9-11) is currently at the ninth spot together with Hyeres Toulon and Limoges that was downed by Chalon/Saone (15-8) at home. The latter continue being tied with Pau Orthez at the second place and pursue Monaco from a distance.
