Thanks to a defensive clinic, Elan Chalon crushed Paris Levallois 82 – 55, winning the series 3-1 and becoming the first finalist of the 2017 French League.
Chalon kept its opponents to only 26 points at halftime while dropping 38. When the hosts reacted offensively they kept up and then unleashed their final assault in the final period which they dominated 9 – 24 to reach their goal.
John Roberson led the pace of Chalon with 20 points and 6 assists while veteran Lous Campbell had 14 points plus 9 rebounds for Paris.
