Asvel smashed Hyeres-Toulon 102 – 85 at home in a game that was decided in the first half. The winners jumped to a 9-8 winning record while the guests remain at the bottom of the standings.
Lyon had an impressive offensive performance in the first half and they reached the break with a 57 – 40 lead. Hyeres Toulon tried to reduce the deficit in the last quarter but were unable to.
John Roberson finished with 19 points and 5 assists for Asvel while Amine Noua contributed 16 points.
Early today, Limoges defeated Gravelines-Dunkerque 80 – 72 but they suffered more than expected. At the end of the first half, they were twelve points behind on the scoreboard (35 – 47).
Limoges allowed just 6 points in the last quarter to rally its comeback. Six players finished with at least 10 points for the winners. Kenny Hayes led all of them with 15 points and 7 assists.
Also, Strasbourg defeated Pau Orthez 89 – 88 with Dee Bost (17 points) scoring the game-winner with 12 seconds left.
