On Day 21 of French PRO A League, SIG Basket Strasbourg defeats JL Bourge Basket 79-78 in a tough free throw finish. As they record a six games winning streak, they also tie up with AS Monaco Basket at the top of the table with 15-6.
Man of the hour for the victors was Miro Bilan with an amazing double-double performance scoring 21 points with 13 rebounds. He also got big help from Darion Atkins who scored 20 points. The two players were also clutch in the last minute of the game, as Atkins scored the winning basket on Bilan’s pass 20 seconds before the end.
The game started great for the guests as they had a nice lead from the start, it grew as much as up to 11 points (40-29) through the middle of the second quarter. But Miro Bilan’s halftime double-double got Strasbourg closer at the halftime trailing by four points (43-39).
The break obviously helped Strasbourg turn the game around as they won the third quarter by eight points (23-15) giving them the lead (62-58) and bringing the game to an interesting finish.
Other side’s duo also provided great performances, Sim Garett and Zachery Peacock both scored 21 points. Bourge Basket stays at 5th place with a 12-9 record.
