SIG Basket Strasbourg won the first three quarters and beat ASVEL Lyon Villeurbanne 93-79 in order to advance to the semifinals of the French Cup. They started strong from the beginning, completely controlling the game and were up by 19 points with 10 minutes remaining. They had no trouble keeping their distance and secured the game.
Damien Inglis led the victors with 15 points in addition to Levi Randolph’s 12 points. On the other side, David Lighty played great scoring a game-high 21 points.
Earlier, AS Monaco Basket decided to give their young players a chance against Boulazac Basket Dordogne Pro. But they couldn’t handle the pressure and the victory belonged to Boulazac 86-63. Giovan Oniangue was the leader of the winning team with game-high 25 points.
Also, Levallois Metropolitans barely came out on top against Orléans Loiret Basket 75-71. And Nanterre 92 beat Denain Voltaire Basket 79-66.
In the French Cup semifinals, Strasbourg will face Boulazac while the other pair will be Levallois vs. Nanterre.
