Vitalis Chikoko was on fire as he led Pau-Lacq-Orthez to a 95-88 road win against Chalon-Reims on Day 12 of French League.
Chikoko led the charge with 30 points (14/17 from the field) in addition to C.J. Harris’ 18 points. On the other side, Blake Schilb scored 23 and Devin Ebanks 20 points.
After a fairly balanced first quarter (19-16), Pau-Lacq-Orthez went ahead in double-digits by halftime (44-32). They kept the distance leading by as much as 17 points (79-62) and although Chalon-Reims got dangerously close (84-80), the guests got away with the win.
Pau-Lacq-Orthez improved to 7-5 while Chalons-Reims now holds a 5-7 record. Lyon-Villeurbanne stands at the top with 10-2 and the bottom is taken by Antibes and Cholet with 2-10 records.
