ASVEL Villeurbanne remains the French League standings leader after the conclusion of Round 23.
Led by A.J. Slaughter (18 points), Miro Bilan (17 points, 11 rebounds, five assists) and David Lighty (16 points), ASVEL won a very close game vs. Chalon/Saone to improve its record to 17 – 6.
Adreian Payne made his debut with ASVEL in the game. The American center finished with 11 points, seven rebounds and three assists in 11 minutes.
Second-placed Pau Orthez beat Chalon Reims behind 17 points by Taqwa Pinero. Third Nanterre and fourth Monaco also proceeded with victories thanks to Haukur Palsson (23 points, six rebounds, five assists) and Elmedin Kikanovic (17 points, six rebounds) respectively.
