ASVEL Villeurbanne conquered the first game of the Jeep Elite semi-finals with a 91-72 victory against Nanterre 92.
Adreian Payne led the winners with a team-high performance of 21 points, while DeMarcus Nelson played a key role with 14 points and seven boards.
Nanterre’s Nick Johnson finished the game with 18 points and three rebounds.
The second game of the series tips off this Tuesday.
