In a tough, low-scoring game, ASVEL managed to bounce back and grab a 66-55 Game 5 win in front of the home crowd.
ASVEL is back at the top of the French League after two years and this is their 19th league title overall.
Miro Bilan and A.J. Slaughter led the victors with 11 points each while Charles Kahudi added nine points plus ten boards. For Monaco, Dee Bost and Lazeric Jones scored 13 points each.
ASVEL had a small 19-17 lead after ten minutes but Monaco finished the first half with an 8-1 run and a 35-27 advantage.
However, the locker room talk seemed to have put the hosts back on track. They dominated the third quarter 24-6 to go ahead 51-41 and kept the distance until the very end.
