After a 14-game winning streak, ASVEL’s run came to an end and Le Mans was responsible for it, beating the French champs 85-74 at home.
Cliff Alexander led the charge with 20 points on 10-11 shooting in 21 minutes of play. Obi Emegano added 17 as did Antoine Eito who scored all four of Le Mans’ threes.
For ASVEL, Tonye Jekiri logged 12 points and nine rebounds in addition to Adreian Payne’s 12 and Antoine Diot’s ten points.
ASVEL is still at the top of the French League standings with a 14-1 record followed by Monaco (13-2) and Dijon (13-3). Levallois and Cholet are fourth and fifth with 11-5 records.
