Zach Auguste scored a career-high 32 points to lead Galatasaray to a 98 – 81 win over Tofas Bursa in the second match of the 2020 Turkish Cup quarterfinals. Galatasaray will play Darussafaka, that beat Anadolu Efes, for a spot in the title game.
Auguste surpassed his previous record of 30 in the Turkish League when he drained a 3-pointer near the end of the match for the 95 – 76. The Greek-American big man shot 12/15 from the field and 5/8 from the free-throw line while also grabbing 11 rebounds for 38 in PIR.
Muhsin Yasar (19 points) and Tarik Philip (18 points) stood out from Tofas Bursa that trailed by double figures for most of the second half. Galatasaray assumed total control when Goksenin Koksal scored for the 89 – 71 with four minutes left to play.
Aaron Harrison dropped 17 points and dished out five assists while Alex Poythress had 15 points and nine rebounds for Galatasaray. Can Korkmaz added 14 points on 4/6 triples plus seven assists.
