Derrick Williams and Malcolm Thomas hit game-winning free throws as Fenerbahce prevailed Afyon Belediye on the road with a 64-62 victory in Round 21 of the Turkish League to improve to a 16-5 record.
Williams led all Fenerbahce scorers with 15 points, while James Nunnally also finished in double-digits with 14 points.
The hosts were paced by Peyton Aldridge who finished the game with a game-high 17-point performance and had the upper hand for nearly three quarters, though Nunnally stepped up for Fenerbahce to pace their fourth-period comeback.
Earlier in the day, Efes defeated Sigortam.net on the road in Bryant Dunston’s return.
After 21 rounds, Pinar Karsiyaka leads the course of the standings with an 18-3 record, followed by Efes who has a game less and an 18-2 record, while Galatasaray and Tofas take up the next positions with 15-6 and 14-7 each.
