Bandirma announced it has withdrawn its participation from the Turkish BSL League after five seasons, due to financial difficulties.
Per the club’s official statement:
“We have been struggling with economic difficulties for months. That’s why we decided to withdraw from the ING Basketball League. Of course, we are deeply grieved because we have withdrawn our club, which has a clean history for more than 25 years, but there is nothing to do. But we do not close our club. Our activities will continue as a club.”
Before the suspension of the 2019-20 season, Bandirma ranked in the 7th place of the Turkish League standings.
