Kyle O’Quinn scored a career-high 25 points and grabbed 15 rebounds to lead Fenerbahce Beko to a 81 – 70 win over Buyukcekmece for the Turkish League.
O’ Quinn shot 11-13 2-pointers plus 1-2 3-pointers in 28:13 minutes to register his new scoring record without even attempting a single free throw. The former NBA veteran center also delivered two blocks for 38 in PIR and while his team was without big men Jan Vesely and Ahmet Duverioglu.
Kenan Sipahi added a double-double of 13 points plus 10 assists while Danilo Barthel contributed 12 points and six rebounds to Fenerbahce‘s victory as their team improved to 19 – 6 and climbed at the second place in the standings.
Matt Farrell had 20 points plus five assists and Gabe Olaseni with Mert Celep recorded 12 points plus eight rebounds apiece for Buyukcekmece that dropped 13th with 8 – 17.
Later on Sunday, Efes took hold of Pinar Karsiyaka with a 98-89 victory on the road, led by Adrien Moerman who posted 24 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists for Ergin Ataman’s squad, while Vasilije Micic followed with 23.
Tony Taylor led the hosts with 24 points and Raymar Morgan had a double-double of 17 pints and 10 rebounds.
