The 75-year-old legendary Turkish coach Aydin Ors has been improving after contracting coronavirus and was discharged from the hospital to continue his rehabilitation at home.
Per Turkish Basketball Federation:
“Aydın Örs, one of the legendary names of Turkish basketball and Chairman of TBF Education Board, was discharged from the hospital where he was treated. Aydın Örs, the legendary name of our basketball, who was discharged from the American Hospital today, will spend his rehabilitation process at his home. As the Turkish Basketball Federation, we offer our wishes to Aydın Örs.”
Ors became the Efes Pilsen head coach back in 1992 and went on to win 12 titles with the team, including the 1996 Korac Cup. He was head coach of the Turkey national team reaching the final of the 2001 edition of EuroBasket. He was also the Fenerbahce boss between 2004 and 2007 capturing the domestic championship in 2007.
