Filip Petrusev registered season-highs 19 points and eight rebounds as Anadolu Efes crushed Buyukcekmece 96 – 71 to improve to 6-2 in the Turkish BSL League.
Petrusev shot 9-12 from the field in 25:57 minutes as a starter to help Efes get the win. Shane Larkin added 15 points plus five assists while Bugrahan Tuncer added 14 points for the Ergin Ataman’s team that was without Vasilije Micic.
Denic Kilicli (20 points, six rebounds) and Berkay Taskiran (16 points) stood out for Buyukcekmece that stayed competitive in the first half but was overwhelmed after the break. Efes took a 20-point lead five minutes into the second half by scoring 17 points in five minutes and didn’t allow its opponents any room for resistance to cruise to an easy victory.
The goal for Efes is to keep the same kind of form in EuroLeague where they are currently at 3-6.. The reigning champs are facing Olympiacos Piraeus and AS Monaco in the upcoming double-game week.
