Eugene German sparked a big comeback for Merkezefendi Belediyesi Denizli Basket but it was too late to change the outcome, as Fenerbahce BEKO got away with an 82-76 road win.
Fenerbahce was up by as much as 26 points (82-76) at the start of the fourth quarter but the hosts bounced back led by Eugene German and Rihards Lomazs who scored 31 and 22 points. It was as close as a three-point game (79-76) but Fener managed to stay on top.
Nando De Colo scored 18 for the victors while Melih Mahmutoglu had 14 in addition to Devin Booker and Marko Guduric’s 12 points each.
With this win, Fener improved to 19-4 at the top of the Turkish league standings while Denizli Basket holds a 7-15 record in the 12th spot.
