Anadolu Efes bounce back from the recent loss in the Turkish League with a convincing 102-83 victory over Bahcesehir Koleji.
Tibor Pleiss was the man of the match with 22 points while Krunoslav Simon added 16 and Bugrahan Tuncer 15 points. James Anderson helped with ten.
On the side of Bahcesehir, Jamar Smith scored 19 in addition to Richard Solomon’s 14 and Kartal Ozmizrak’s ten points. Sam Dekker logged nine.
The hosts put up a fight early on but Efes was already up by 12 at halftime (54-42) and 17 by the end of the third quarter (74-57). There was no room left for a comeback as Efes held everything under control.
With this win, Efes (19-6) kept the chase after Fenerbahce (21-5) which tops the standings in Turkey. Meanwhile, Bahcesehir is currently just out of the playoff zone with 14-11 but it’s a close race between Besiktas (13-13), them, and Bursaspor (13-11), although they all have a different number of played games.
