Bugrahan Tuncer scored 24 points and dished out six assists while Filip Petrusev added 22 points plus six rebounds as Anadolu Efes beat Belediyesi 80 – 65 on the road in a Turkish League game. The reigning champions led from start to finish and were up by double figures in most of the second half to take a win that ties them in the first place with Fenerbahce Beko.
Emircan Kosut (11 points, seven rebounds),Jeremy Hollowell (10 points, five rebounds) and Devonte Upson (10 points, 10 rebounds) stood out from Belediyesi. Their team recovered from their opponents’ hot entranced (9 – 19) to approach 37 – 39 a little before the end of the first half but fell way behind after the break and never managed to be threatening.
While Efes’ players were competing for BSL, the news arrived from Israel that they will face Olimpia Milano in the playoffs on the road to defend their crown. Milano has the homecourt advantage over the Turkish team.
