Fenerbahce started the season with an easy victory (97-81) against Aykon TED Ankara Kolejliler in the opening game of the Turkish Basketball League and Zeljco Obradovic‘s players have now their sights set on the opening game of the Turkish Airlines Euroleague against Bayern Munich on Friday.

Fenerbahce took control of the game from the beginning and ended the first quarter in front by eight points (26-18). Later, they easily retained the lead to double digits (40-28, 44-30, 51-35) and had a 15-point advantage at the end of the first half (53-38).

In the first minutes of the second half, TED Kollejliler cut the deficit to 10 points (53-43), but Fenerbahce steadily increased their lead again (62-48, 67-50) and were in front by 15 (71-56), after 30 minutes in the game. In the last quarter, Kollejliler tried to make a big come-back and were down by eight (82-74), five minutes before the end of the game, however Zeljco Obradovic‘s team stood tall, retained the lead and comfortably won the game.

Jan Vesely was the top scorer for the winners with 24 points and seven rebounds, while three more players were in double digits. For the losing squad, Caner Erdeniz had 19 points, as three more players were in double digits as well.

Due to the bombing attack in Ankara, the games IBB – Banvit, Anadolu Efes – Konyaspor, Turk Telekom – Buyukcekmece and Usak – Belediye will be played between 16-17 of January 2016.
