Fenerbahce Beko beat Anadolu Efes 92 – 80 on the road to win the best-of-five Turkish BSL League series 3-1 and claim the championship title for the 10th time in the history of the club and first since 2018.
Jan Vesely led the efforts of Fener with 18 points on 9-10 shots plus seven rebounds. He was named Finals MVP after what was highly likely his last game with the Turkish powerhouse after eight years and several titles, including the EuroLeague championship of 2017.
Nando De Colo contributed 17 points while Marko Guduric had 16 points, five rebounds and five assists complete the winning triple for Fener. Their team had a superb offensive output – evident from their 25-34 2-pointers and 28 assists with which they finished the game – and controlled the game after the break to take a 68 – 87 lead in the fourth period.
Efes, that lost the first two games at Fener and won Game 3 at home to stay alive in the series, didn’t have enough juice to match their opponents’ prowess. After finishing the previous match with 34 and 29 points respectively, this time Shane Larkin (10 points on 3-8 plus six assists) and Vasilije Micic (10 points on 4-12 and seven assists) struggled and didn’t manage to influence their team’s game enough.
Tibor Pleiss (17 points) and Chris Singleton (17 points) were the top contributors for Efes that may have lost in the BSL Finals but completes the season as a back-to-back champion in EuroLeague.
