Braian Angola scored 31 points and Errick McCollum added 29 points, creating a powerful combo that pushed Pinar Karsiyaka to a 112-11 away win over Anadolu Efes after a 50-minute game.
Angola also posted five rebounds and five assists while McCollum finished with six rebounds and seven dimes including the pass to Angel Delgado for the go-ahead layup with eight seconds to play in the second overtime.
On the other end, Vasilije Micic found Egehan Arna who had a wide-open lane to the basket but Delgado ran towards him fast enough to contest his layup attempt and force a hard shot as the final buzzer sounded. Micic had a stunning game overall with career-high-tying 37 points (a personal record in BSL) plus eight assists but his performance wasn’t enough for the defending EuroLeague champions.
Delgado contributed 17 points plus 15 rebounds and Mindaguas Kuzminskas had 18 points and seven boards for Karsiyaka that registered their sixth win over nine games this season in Turkey.
Will Clyburn added 24 points plus six rebounds while Bugrahan Tuncer notched 13 points and seven boards for Efes, now 6-3.
