Fenerbahce Beko got back to the winning track after two straight defeats with a 113-98 victory over Bahcesehir Koleji in an exciting match, in Round 3 of Turkish BSL.
Johnathan Motley led Dimitris Itoudis’ side in a high-scoring game with 25 points, Tarik Biberovic added 17, while Nick Calathes recorded a double-double with 15 points and 10 assists. Nigel Hayes Davis also finished in double figures with 14 points, Marko Guduric added 12, and Sertac Sanli 10 points.
For Bahcesehir, Philip Scrubb was the leading scorer with 26 points, Axel Bouteille followed with 18, and Muhammaed Baygul with 16 points. Jerry Boutsiele added 11, while Tyler Cavanaugh was a rebound shy of a double-double with 11 points.
Both teams had great three-point shot percentages with Fenerbahce shooting 13/27 from beyond the arc, and Bahcesehir 12/26.
Fenerbahce scored 34 points in the first ten minutes, but the guests were following closely with 28. Still, the hosts managed to pull away in the second period, leading 58-44 after 20 minutes. Bahcesehir answered in the third quarter scoring 33 points and cutting the deficit to single digits, but Fenerbahce quickly improved the stance with a 19-2 run in the opening minutes of the final period.
