By tooth, claw, and a bit of luck Anadolu Efes managed to get the 71-69 over Turk Telekom Ankara and still leads the race in the Turkish BSL with an 11-2 record.
Despite leading by nine points with two minutes left in the game, Efes scored just two points in the time remaining and Turk Telekom had the chance to win the game or send it to overtime.
However, Tyrone Wallace was blocked by Efes’ newcomer Daniel Uturu, then the ball stayed in Turk Telekom’s possession and James Palmer missed a three and after an offensive rebound another three was lost, this time by Wallace again.
Uturu with 10 points, nine rebounds, and four blocks was the key player for the winners, while Elijah Bryant was the top scorer with 19 points.
In the other big game of the game, Karsiyaka beat Tofas 98-71 behind 25 points by Darrun Hilliard.
