It’s safe to say Fenerbahce Beko made a good move hiring Sarunas Jasikevicius, as the Istanbul side can’t stop winning under the Lithuanian coach.
The latest team to fall against Jasikevicius’ Fenerbahce is Bursaspor, with the Istanbul side winning the BSL Round 14 match at Ulker Sports Arena 97-90.
Yam Madar dominated, playing his best game this season and scoring 25 points with 13 rebounds and four assists for a PIR of 39. Tarik Biberovic and Johnathan Motley followed the Israeli guard with 17 points each. Melih Mahmutoglu added 11, and Sehmus Hazer contributed with 10 points.
Bursaspor gave a good fight to the hosts and stayed in the game until the very last moments, but Fenerbahce prevailed thanks to an 8-2 run in the final minutes.
Two players stood out for the visiting side: Jordan Floyd, who scored 31 points, and Anthony Brown, who added 20. Michael Young followed them with 12 points, six assists, and five rebounds.
Fenerbahce improved to 11-3 in the BSL standings with a seventh straight victory in both competitions under the guidance of Sarunas Jasikevicius, while Bursaspor fell to 7-7.
Anadolu Efes prevails over Darussafaka
With an 85-78 victory against Darussafaka, defending champions Anadolu Efes will conclude the 2023 season at the top of the BSL standings with an 11-2 record.
Two standout performances in Erdem Can’s team were Rodrigue Beaubois with 24 points, shooting 5/9 from beyond the arc, and Elijah Bryant with 21 points.
Berk Demir led Darussafaka with 19 points, Can Korkmaz scored 14, while James Woodard added 12, and Muhammad Abdur Rakhman contributed 10 points.
