Fenerbahce resumes Turkish League action with double-OT win

Fenerbahce was without several key players but ultimately managed to bring down Bursaspor after a long battle.

Fenerbahce Beko defeated Bursaspor 116 – 112 after two overtimes in its first Turkish BSL League following the EuroLeague playoffs vs. AS Monaco and the qualification to the Final Four.

Amine Noua (20 points, 10 rebounds) and Yam Madar led (20 points, five assists) led Fenerbahce overall in this postponed game for Round 29. Sehmus Hazer added 17 points, nine rebounds and eight assists while Melih Mahmutoglu had 13 points for the visiting side that was without Scottie Wilbekin, Nick Calathes, George Papagiannis, Marko Guduric and Nigel Hays-Davis.

Anthony Brown’s 34 points and nine rebounds weren’t enough for Bursapor that was eliminated from playoff contention with this result. Alex Gavrilovic contributed 26 points.

Fenerbahce has another postponed game to play, vs. Buyukcekmece at home Monday (13/5)  before the start of the BSL playoffs.
