In the last Turkiye Sigorta Basketbol Super Ligi Regular Season contest, Fenerbahce Beko survived determined Onvo Buyukcekmece, 92-90, in Ulker Sports Arena.
Serbian sharpshooter Marko Guduric sank a go-ahead triple after the hosts trailed for most of the fourth quarter. He ended up with 15 points. Nate Sestina tallied 23 points, a new individual best across all competitions in the 2023-24 campaign. Floor general Nick Calathes dished out 16 assists, besides adding five points. Johnathan Motley, Scottie Wilbekin, Nigel Hayes-Davis, Amine Noua, Dyshawn Pierre, Yigit Hamza Mestoglu, Yam Madar, and Raul Neto sat out the Round 30 contest.
After winning the ING Turkiye Kupasi in February, Fenerbahce completed the Regular Season at 25-5 and on the wrong end of a tie at 55 points with Anadolu Efes. Forced down to 13-17, Buyukcekmece missed the cut for the 2024 BSL Playoffs. Explosive shooting guard Marcquise Reed scoring a game-high 24 points was not enough to upset the team coached by Sarunas Jasikevicius on Monday. Turk Telekom instead claimed the eighth seed, setting up a best-of-three series versus top-seeded Efes.
Game 1 and Game 2 across the Quarterfinals have been scheduled between Wednesday and Saturday, including second-seeded Fener hosting Aliaga Petkimspor on Thursday and visiting Enka Spor Salonu on Saturday.
