Nigel Hayes-Davis carried Fenerbahce in the first game of the Turkish League semis

Nigel Hayes-Davis scored 29 points as Fenerbahce Beko returned to the Turkish BSL League with a 96 – 88 win over Besiktas in Game 1 of the semifinals. Fener was particularly strong in the second half of its first game after a fourth-place finish in the EuroLeague Final Four.

Scottie Wilbekin added 18 points and Sehmus Hazer dropped 13 points for Fener. Nick Calathes dished out 11 assists and got five rebounds to go with his six points.

Derek Needham had 24 points for Besiktas. Yigit Arslan posted 14 points plus seven rebounds.

Hayes-Davis had 18 points at halftime where Fener took a 56 – 48 advantage. The hosts proceeded to increase their lead to beyond double figures and stayed in control for the rest of the game.
