Tofas Bursa is off to a perfect start this season, maintaining a maximum score in both the Turkish BSL (5-0) and FIBA Europe Cup (4-0). However, the Turkish club will have to get a new center.
According to Eurohoops sources, Trevor Thompson is leaving Tofas for China in a super deal that will double his salary.
Thompson will sign with the Shenzhen Leopards, becoming a teammate of Thomas Heurtel and Sonny Weems.
Tofas is set to react immediately, as the club from Bursa is in talks with Latvian center Anzejs Pasecniks, who was waived by the Milwaukee Bucks last month after being on a two-way deal with the NBA franchise since last August.
Thompson, who joined the Turkish side this summer after a season with Peristeri in Greece, averaged 5.2 points and 5.4 rebounds in five BSL appearances, and 6.3 points and 6.3 rebounds in four Europe Cup matches.
