Fenerbahce hand Tofas first defeat of the season

After a tough loss to AS Monaco in the EuroLeague, Fenerbahce bounced back with a big win in the domestic championship.

Sarunas Jasikevicius’ side handed Tofas their first defeat of the season with a final score of 90-88.

Wade Baldwin scored the crucial go-ahead points in the final moments, while Alex Perez couldn’t respond on the last possession of the game, allowing the Istanbul team to emerge victorious.

Marko Guduric led the way with 18 points for the hosts, while Nigel Hayes-Davis followed with 17 points. Bonzie Colson and Sertac Sanli added 12 points each, and Tarik Biberovic contributed 10. Baldwin finished the game with six points, four rebounds, and four assists.

Alex Perez stood out for Tofas with 31 points, Macquise Reed followed with 16, while Kris Bankston was on the verge of a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds. Jaleel O’Brien also finished in double figures with 11 points.

Fenerbahce is now at the top of the standings with a 9-1 record, while after nine straight victories, Tofas suffered their first loss in the TBSL.
