Besiktas Fibabanka striving in defense shaped a huge win, 87-70, against Anadolu Efes in Istanbul’s BJK Fibabanka Arena on Sunday.

Taking care of most of the offense in Round 13 of the Turkiye Sigorta Basketbol Super Ligi Regular Season, former Butler standout Kelan Martin scored 32 points, a new personal best in the 2024-25 season. The 29-year-old forward connected 12/15 field goals with a perfect 7/7 from inside the arc and 5/8 triples.

The Black Eagles jumped to 9-4 in the BSL. Without Justus Hollatz, Stanley Johnson, Rolands Smits, and Darius Thompson, the team coached by Tomislav Mijatovic was forced down to 10-3.

Pulling away after the break, Fenerbahce Beko settled for a 101-90 victory versus Karsiyaka in Izmir and improved to a league-high 12-1. Wade Baldwin IV, Dyshawn Pierre, Scottie Wilbekin, and Arturs Zagars were ruled out against the depleted hosts.

Building on 12 points from the first half, Melih Mahmutoglu piled up a team-high 17 points.

For the team coached by Ufuk Sarica, Fatts Russell ended up with 40 points.
