In the 23rd round of the Turkish BSL, Fenerbahçe Beko recorded its 22nd victory.
Šarūnas Jasikevičius’ side defeated Mersin at Ülker Sports Arena with a score of 101-93. The Istanbul team improved to 22-1, while Mersin suffered its 11th loss (12-11).
Sertaç Şanlı recorded a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side, while Melih Mahmutoğlu scored 14 points. Bonzie Colson added 13 points and nine rebounds, Nigel Hayes finished with 14 points, Marko Gudurić had 10, and Wade Baldwin contributed seven points.
For Mersin, Pako Cruz stood out with 21 points and seven assists, while Gabriel Olaseni scored 18 points. Justin Cobbs registered a double-double with 19 points and 11 assists. Isaiah Pineiro had 12 points.
On Monday, Anadolu Efes took down Turk Telekom, 100-90, in Ankara Arena and improved to 17-6 in the 2024-25 Turkiye Sigorta Basketbol Super Ligi Regular Season. Fueling an eighth win over the last nine games between the BSL and the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, Jordan Nwora put up 24 points.
After retaining the lead through the first half and reaching an advantage of 13 points late in the second quarter, Luca Banchi’s side temporally trailed in the third quarter before quickly restoring a double-digit cushion.
